They're Eating the Dogs, They're Eating the Cats!

Even if kitty isn’t being skinned alive and served at Kamala’s Haitian Grill, this could work for Trump

“They’re eating the dogs! They’re eating the cats!”

‘Noooo’, I thought.

Yes, Trump should talk about illegal immigration. But no, he shouldn’t talk about Haitian migrants stealing people’s pets for food.

Trump told 67 million Americans who tuned in to watch last week’s presidential debate …

'In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They're eating the pets of the people that live there.'

Debate moderator David Muir immediately corrected Tump …

'I just want to clarify here, you bring up Springfield, Ohio. And ABC News did reach out to the city manager there. He told us there have been no credible reports of specific claims of pets being harmed, injured or abused by individuals.'

Two points …

First, just because the city manager told ABC news he has had “no credible reports” of Haitians barbecuing Garfield doesn’t mean it isn’t happening.

Nothing says ‘Our town is unsafe, don’t move here, don’t do business here’ like admitting your it’s a place in which roaming hordes will break into your house, steal your poodle and satay him. The city manager is a Democrat. Duh!

Second, the ABC debate moderators regularly fact-checked Trump during the debate and were often flat out wrong.

So are cats, and dogs, and geese at the local park being taken by immigrants for food? Do the animals of Springfield need rescuing? Is Donald Trump some kind of modern-day Noah?

Immediately after the debate, the media said …

Haitians are not eating people’s cats and dogs.
