Two thirds of Aboriginal university students in Australia hide their Indigenous identity - or simply don’t attend lectures - for fear of being harassed, a study has found.
The same study found that a quarter of all Muslim students said they had been excluded from clubs on campus or had suffered abuse specifically because they were Muslim.
And 34 per cent of Chinese students said they had heard other students, and even university staff, compare them to Nazis.
None of the above is true - not of Aboriginals, not of Muslims, and not of Chinese students. If it were true, you’d know about it. Progressives would be screaming blue murder.
But the study was actually of Jewish students in this country. And so there is no outcry except from Jews themselves.
The study, of 560 Australian Jews, should not be ignored.
History shows that Jews are the ‘canary in a coal mine’.
Just as canaries in a mine die before humans are aware of undetectable toxic gases, such as methane and carbon monoxide, so the state of Jews in their societies is the test for the safety of those societies.
If the Jews in a particular society are - like the canaries - singing and thriving, then all is well. If not, it is an early warning sign of danger ahead.
There is a scene in the 1961 film Judgment at Nuremberg where the American judge, visits one of the movie’s four convicted Nazi defendants in his prison cell.
One of the four, who has confessed to condemning a Jew to death for a mere misdemeanor, attempts to justify himself. He tells the judge:
“Those millions of people . . . I never knew it would come to that. You must believe it.”
The American judge replies:
“Herr Janning, it came to that the first time you sentenced a man to death whom you knew to be innocent, and declared innocent the many you knew to be guilty.”
In other words, millions ended up dying because German authorities gave people free rein to attack Jews.
When you allow various social grievances to be directed against Jews, you are inverting morality so that innocent people are no longer safe and guilty people are no longer held to any standard. Such an environment is unsafe for everybody.
Not for nothing did German preacher Martin Niemoller lament in 1946 …
“ … Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak out for me.”
Everyone has an interest in stopping anti-semitism because, when permitted, morality is completely inverted and no-one - Jew or non Jew - is safe from the toxins released into the environment.

The report from Australian universities should worry all Australians. But it’s not just Jewish university students who fear being abused.
A Jewish friend told me recently about how her son, leaving for lessons at the local Synagogue here in Sydney, put on his kippur as they walked out of their home. She quickly told him to take remove it, and to wear it only when they arrived at their destination.
“It’s just safer that way,” she said.
So where might this anti Jewish sentiment be coming from?
Well, it’s always from the Left.
The study of Jewish university students’ experiences in Australia comes hot on the heels of the Labor government reversing its policy on Israel. The Albanese government has decided it will now refer to West Bank and Gaza as “Occupied Palestinian Territories”. They will also refer to East Jerusalem, including the Temple Mount, as “Occupied Palestinian territories”.
The decision was a sop given to the Labor Left in return for their agreement not to embarrass the Prime Minister by criticising his AUKUS defence deal at the Party’s national conference this month.
But it wasn’t a concession Albanese would have lost any sleep over.
Here are direct quotes from Anthony Albanese, before he was Prime Minster, back in 2002 …
“Suicide bombings are horrific but as the UN Secretary General has put it, self defence is not a blank cheque …”
When someone begins a sentence with “Suicide bombings are horrific BUT …” you know they are morally bankrupt.
Self defence from suicide bombers is not a blank cheque? Well I just hope my family never needs to be defended by Anthony Albanese.
He continued …
“ … and responding to terrorism does not in any way free Israel from its obligations under international law. Nor does it justify creating a human rights and humanitarian crisis in Palestine.”
This speech continued the long tradition of berating Israel for “responding” to people murdering its women and children.
How dare they respond.
“The IDF routinely uses tanks, Apache helicopter gunships and F16 fighter jets against a population that has no military whatsoever and no of the protective institutions of a modern state.”
Ah yes, if Israel must respond to its civilians being slaughtered, then they should do it so a sense of ‘proportionality’.
Proportionality its one of those concepts used by people tucking themselves into bed in Canberra, thousands of kilometres away from Hamas rockets or suicide bombers.
Since the terrorists lack tanks and helicopters and fighter jets, the Israelis should leave their military hardware in storage and, instead, ask their attackers what weapons they may use.
Only an idiot who has never faced an existential threat speaks like this. Albanese is one such idiot.
He went on, in a speech to the Australian Parliament in 2002, to blame the creation of Israel for the suffering of Palestinians.
“The creation of the state of Israeli in 1948 and subsequent events has produced up to 3.8 million Palestinian refugees to date.”
If only Israel hadn’t been created.
Are you starting to get a sense of where the anti-semitism that Jewish university students in Australia cop might come from? Or should I go on?
Anthony Albanese even accused Israel of funding the terrorist group Hamas. An accusation that has zero basis in fact.
“It is unfortunate that is was Israel that first funded Hamas,” he told Parliament.
Don’t feel too sorry for Israeli terror attack victims. They funded their own attackers!
Sorry, but bullshit.
And what’s particularly ‘unfortunate’ is that Albanese has never apologised for this outrageous, slanderous lie.
And then, our now Prime Minister launched this tirade against the only democracy in the Middle East …
While many Israelis continue to demonise all Palestinians as terrorists, Palestinians experience Israelis as occupiers, employers of cheap labor, interrogators and jailers.
I’ve been to Israel, and during my time there spoke to dozens, perhaps hundreds of people - from shop keepers to soldiers. None - not even one - characterised Palestinians as terrorists. On the contrary, most Israelis expressed deep concern for the Palestinian people.
Little wonder there’s so much anti semitism in our universities when there’s an anti semite in the Lodge.
Too hard? Well, if you can believe it, Albanese compared democratic Israel with the totalitarian Iraqi regime of madman Saddam Hussein.
“What is clear is that madam Saddam Hussein and the Iraqi regime engaged practices which democratic supporters of human rights find abhorrent .
There are many nations, including in that region, which ignore human rights, which oppress minorities and which ignore UN Security Council resolutions. (He then went on to criticise Israel for not having complied with resolutions requiring it to give up land)
He addd this …
“It is now more than 35 years UN Security Council (resolution) … was carried calling for Israel to remove its military and its control of the occupied territories. Since that time the systematic repression of the occupied by the occupiers has been at the core of Middle East politics.”
In other words, it’s all Israel’s fault. Israel are occupiers. Everyone in the Middle East suffers because of Israel.
There are many more quotes I could provide of Anthony Albanese demonising Israel. But to he honest, it’s late, I’m tired, and researching this stuff just ticks me off.
Albanese claims now to be a friend of Israel.
And Macquarie University, where 77 per cent of Jewish students claimed to have experienced anti-semitism has insisted it “does not tolerate anti-Semitism, nor any form of harassment, bullying and discrimination”.
And University of Sydney, where 77 per cent of Jewish students claimed to have experienced anti-semitism, reckoned they were “very disturbed by these survey results”.
Three quarters of the Jewish students at Sydney University are hiding their identity or skipping class and the administration release a statement saying they are “disturbed” ... “by these survey results”.
Well whoop-dee-do.
If the survey results were regarding Indigenous kids, or Muslim kids - rather than Jewish kids - the university administrations would be going apocalyptic.
There’s a toxin in the air. We ignore it at our peril and we excuse it to our hurt.
The best quote for me is: “Only an idiot who has never faced an existential threat speaks like this. Albanese is one such idiot.” Thanks James 👍🏽
With every week that passes we are seeing more and more the true colour of the Albanese government, and it is looking very red.
When our leadership turns on the only democratic country in the Middle East and sides with those who wish to see Israel’s 🇮🇱 complete demise, then we know we have an anti-Semite in the lodge. Woe to him and his Marxist acolytes!
