How ought I describe those wretched pro-Palestinian protestors who forced Myer to cancel their much-loved Christmas window opening this Sunday.

The group promised to protest the opening, loved by Melbourne families every Christmas, in protest at the war in Gaza.

And so Myer cancelled the event rather than put families in harm’s way. What choice did they really have?

With the Christmas celebration cancelled due to the protest, the pro-Palestinian group then announced they would no longer need to protest.

They had shut down the Christmas event without even needing to wave a Hezbollah flag in anger. That’s power.

The Victorian Government is not running Victoria.

Neither are the police.

Want to celebrate Jesus’ birth? Better get permission from Hamas supporters first.

What a crap country we have become.

And what a joke State Victoria now is.

Victoria Police Assistant Commander Tim Tully told The Australian his team have had “very good engagement” and cooperation with the protest organisers.

Wait. What?

Such good engagement that the protestors now determine what does and what does not happen in the city over Christmas?

The Assistant Commander who appears to command nothing - not even respect - assured Victorians police would be in the city on Sunday to deal with “any issues that present”.

Er, you allowed thugs to hold Christmas hostage and then immediately folded to their demands.

And now you reassure Victorians that you’re on the job? What job?

Just hand over your badge to the protestors already Assistant Commander of Nothing Tully.

But Zero Command Tully would get even more ridiculous yet.

He told Sky News …

“The decision to cancel the opening was not a police decision or directive, ultimately this was a decision from Myer but we're here to support Myer in that decision.”

Are you kidding me? Police exist here to support Victorians as their Christmas celebrations are held hostage by protestors?

As for Premier Jacinta Allan, she told journalists …

"I'm just furious.”

Well that’s nice, Premier.

I’m pissed off too. But you’re the Premier.

Jacinta Allan is paid to provide leadership, not give us a running commentary on her emotional state.

Furious Jacinta continued …

"We can't let these sorts of ugly protests ruin these beautiful Christmas traditions.”

So what will she do about it? Anything? No?

Will she try being even furiouser, perhaps?

Jactina Allan thundered that we could not let ugly protests ruin Christmas while doing absolutely nothing to stop ugly protests ruining Christmas.

So we need to ask the question, what’s the point of her, or her government?

She told journalists in an extra furious voice …

“It's just not on."

Well, the only thing “not on” is the Christmas window display opening.

Again, what is the point of the Premier? Aside from public emoting, I mean.

The protestors understand their mission. And, unlike Victorian police or the Victorian Premier, they aren’t mucking around.

The protestors said children in Australia had no right to celebrate Christmas while children in Gaza were caught in a war zone.

“There can be no joy in Australia while there’s a genocide in Gaza.”

What a self-righteous, smug bunch of hypocrites.

These pathetic goons couldn’t care less about children.

If they did, they’d be campaigning for the release of Ariel Bibas.

Ariel is a five year old boy has been held hostage in Gaza by violent terrorists for more than a year.

The precious little boy was taken on October 7, along with his brother Kfir who celebrated his first birthday surrounded by terrorists in an tunnel deep beneath the foreign streets of Gaza.

If the Melbourne protesters care so much about children, why have they not protested for the urgent release of Ariel and Kfir?

It’s a tragedy, an absolutely tragedy that Palestinian children are being killed.

But why are they being killed? Are those children not caught in the crossfire between an Israeli army rightly determined to rescue Ariel and Kfir and a terror organisation that enjoys popular support hiding among civilians?

Release the hostages. If love you children, send little Ariel and Kfir home to their family. When the hostages are released the war ceases, and the dying stops.

But Ariel and Kfir have not been released. Only the Palestinians know if they are even still alive.

When Palestinians care more about their own children living than about Jewish children dying, there will be joy to the world and peace on earth.
