If you’re looking for an insight into the wicked absurdity of the Left, there’s no need to look further than the recent Congressional debate about female sports.

The Republican dominated House moved this week that, for the purposes of sport …

“Sex shall be recognised based solely on a person’s reproductive biology and genetics at birth”.

I’m old enough to remember when we were able to say all of that in a single word - ‘biology’.

But alas, the smarter we have become the more complicated everything has gotten.

Anyway, the effect of the proposed definition would be to ban trans males from competing in female sports in schools and colleges across the United States.

This would not only ensure fairness in sporting events, but would also guarantee the safety of girls competing.

Oh, and there’s the not inconsiderable matter of bringing truth back to the education system.

It’s a no-brainer, right. Which probably explains why almost half of Congress voted against the definition. No brains.

Republican Greg Steube, who sponsored the legislation, said it was aimed at protecting women's sports.

"The distinction between men and women is clear and evident, and the erasure of this division has been promulgated by those in the radical left who seek to dismantle the core foundation of our society.

We must never let our country and the American way of life surrender to this immoral ideology."

You’d think the legislation would have passed overwhelmingly. But unlike the dude competing in the girl’s 400m event, the bill only just made it across the line.

The vote was 218 to 206, with all but two Democrats voting against the bill.
