The Australian Government has threatened Twitter with a $782,500 fine if it fails to remove a post in which a transgendered man was referred to as “she”.
So much for freedom of speech.
So much for truth.
So much for biology.
The tweet which so upset Australia’s E-Safety Commissioner was posted by Canadian man, Chris Elston.
Elston had dared to point out that an Australian trans activist was possibly unfit to have been appointed to a World Health Organisation committee responsible for drafting care guidelines for trans people.
Unfit? Like how?
Elston pointed out that the activist, Teddy Cook, was actually a woman whose social media feed promoted X-rated material including bondage, orgies and bestiality.
Oh, is that all?
Teddy’s feed included, amongst other things, a photo of a man appearing to have sex with a dog. Just the usual stuff you’d expect from a member of a UN expert panel on health care for gender confused people.
But our E-Safety Zsar was less offended by Teddy’s proclivity for canines than by Elston’s reference to pet-loving Teddy as a “she” …
