The Failure to Profile Aircraft Passengers Is a Big Mistake
Political correctness ensures that if a terrorist is caught at the airport, it will be entirely by accident
AIRPORT security staff annoy me.
I agree that they need to scan, frisk and swab travellers because, despite the inconvenience, free-falling from 40,000 feet in a fiery metal tube that has gone all Allah-Akbar is even more inconvenient.
But what I find curious is that almost every time I pass through a security check point, the officious bomb residue person is carefully inspecting an elderly woman, or a small child.
