The former Labor treasurer gets it, though his editing skills aren’t great.
During a cost of living crisis, it’s not ideal to be seen swanning around (pun intended) in the exclusive Qantas Chairman’s Lounge.
And it’s less than ideal for the Environment Minister to be seen living it up thanks to the aviation industry.
By the way, didn’t Julia Gillard impose a carbon tax for fear emissions, such as those belched by jet planes, would destroy the planet.
Anyway, Wayne Swan posted the photo of himself with Tanya Plibersek and Julia Gillard, but unlike the Environment Minster, he first scrubbed out the background.
To be honest, he could have posted the photo without the edit. After all, 99.9 percent of people have no idea what the Chairman's Lounge actually looks like.
To be honest, I thought the original photo was taken in a Greens’ party room meeting.
On a positive note, it’s good to find at least two people who ARE happy to hug Tanya Plibersek.
I have to say, however, I’m with Tanya Plibersek on this one. If you’re going to live high on the hog as a guest of Qantas, just own it.
Points to the Financial Review’s Hannah Wootton for being the first to realise what Wayne Swan had done.
Oops hit reply to early…
Woohoo to Hannah Wootton for the pick-up!!
Labor is duplicitous, but I fear they will govern for another 3 years despite all their ills.
Very droll. I like the jibe about the Greens Party Room.
