Australian senators - the least curious group of people on planet earth - have voted not to inquire about gender transition treatment for children.
That the number of children enrolled in gender clinics increased 10 fold between 2014 and 2021 is of no interest to them.
That the number of children prescribed puberty blockers has increased 100 fold during that same period is of zero concern.
There’s nothing to see here, apparently,
Nothing at all.
Our most vulnerable citizens are being put on a gender conveyor-belt and moved toward sterilisation, radical surgery and a lifetime of pharmaceutical dependency.
Meh.
Our senate would be more interested if a bat colony was threatened by a unit development.
One Nation Senator Pauline Hanson requested an inquiry to ask …
Whether children are being rushed into gender reassignment surgery, as has been suggested by University of Queensland Law Professor Patrick Parkinson
Whether children are being over-diagnosed with gender dysphoria without proper consultation or mental health assessment
Whether Australia should follow the United Kingdom and many other European countries in adopting a more cautious approach to the prescription of puberty blocker drugs, amid concerns the evidence base for their efficacy is lacking
There’s nothing untoward or hateful about those questions. There’s nothing transphobic about them.
And yet 38 Australian senators, among them Liberal Senate Leader Simon Birmingham, voted not to ask such questions.
Were Labor senators interested in those questions?
No.
Even Penny Wong voted no, which is weird since the trans movement is deeply homophobic.
Were Greens senators at all curious about what is being done to Australian children?
Hardly.
What about Devout Christian David Pocock?
Yeah. Nah.
And Jacquie Lambie?
She didn’t even bother to vote.
As for Liberal Party Senators Birmingham, Hume, Smith, Bragg and Kavocic … they’re far more interested in literally anything else. And they are certainly unworthy of being called Liberals.
They should hang their heads in shame. And while they’re at it, thy should get out of the Liberal Party.
This is a scandal of epic proportions. The unwillingness of our representatives to protect children from this dangerous ideology is really quite incredible.
Anna Brown, CEO of Equality Australia, claimed Senator Hanson was politicising trans and gender diverse children.
Wait. What? For asking about their health?
Funny you mention that. She said even asking about their health “negatively impacts the health and wellbeing of a population that is already under significant stress”.
That’s right. To ask about the well-being of so-called trans kids is to endanger the well-being of those kids. And you wouldn’t want to endanger their well-being would you? So don’t ever ask about their well-being.
What these people can’t tell you about emotional manipulation is not worth hearing.
Senator Hanson slammed the 38 senators who voted against an inquiry.
“History, and the Australian people, will condemn you,” she said.
I hope so. I really hope so.
Here’s the full list of how senators voted
Shame on those senators who are against the enquiry! What if it were one of their children? The story would no doubt be different. Pauline is one good woman
People at large, senators included, aren’t there yet unfortunately. They don’t understand just how radical this agenda is to dismantle sex, and how willing the movement is to do irreversible harm to children.
They think it’s all just conservative myth, used to “demonise the most vulnerable”.
There’s a bit of a balancing act in convincing people. That recent hot mic admission from ABC’s Stephen Dziedzic was quite telling where he said he wasn’t even listening to what Shari Marksson had to say, despite her possibly being right. It shows there’s an intellect there that can grasp things, but that it’s obscured by the ideological need to oppose conservative thought. When it’s Pauline Hanson bringing this stuff up it makes it that just much easier for people to dismiss.
