Should Australian Troops Help Train Ukrainian Soldiers?
Clip from the World According to Rowan Dean
If you missed The World According to Rowan Dean last night, here’s a clip of the panel - Daily Telegraph cartoonist Warren Brown, lawyer Sophie York, host Rowan Dean and myself - discussing the request for Australia to send troops to help train Ukrainian soldiers.
If you haven’t yet had the chance, I’d love it if you dropped a quick note to Sky TV thanking them for the Rowan Dean Show and for having me as a regular guest. Programming directors definitely listen to this feedback and they are currently making decisions about next year.
Should Australian Troops Help Train Ukrainian Soldiers?
It’s a tough one.
We need to stand by our allies lest they don’t stand by us in a time of need and sending troops to assist in training I agree with as long as it is not within Ukraine.
Sending bushmasters I suspect has more to do with potential sales and lining of pockets as a priority.
I don’t know who is right and who is wrong but as an army veteran I can say that war is a last resort but if there has to be war then those shiny arses who sit behind a desk and order it should be in the front line with those young men they think are expendable.
Yes to humanitarian aid which unfortunately should include money some of which invariably makes certain types rich at the expense of the needy.
In short no! We have our own problems to deal with let alone giving money to Biden (Through Zelensky, who skims his bit as well). I think the cartoonist needs to do more fact checking.
