I do hope Israeli Eden Golan wins the Eurovision final.
I doubt she will be allowed to win, however.
Not with thousands of people, some found to have weapons, protesting her very presence at the event.
Security officials have ordered Golan to remain in her hotel room when not performing in Malmo Sweden.
She has received death threats from Islamists. She has been the subject of protests Greta Thunberg.
She has been bullied by other contestants, one of whom pretending to fall asleep during a press conference every time Golan spoke. (Shame on the Greek contestant)
She has been booed by audiences outraged that a Jew should be permitted to perform at a singing contest.
For all the pro-Palestine mob’s talk of avoiding collective punishment in Gaza, harassing a kid trying to sing a song in Sweden for the actions of the Israeli government is the definition of collective punishment!
I’ll be watching the final tonight and cheering for Golan. I hope she sticks it to all the Israelophobes around the world tonight.
New Zealanders were urged to shiver through the weekend rather than turn on their heaters as temperatures in Auckland fell to just 1 degree above zero.
The reason? Low wind speeds.

The fiasco reminded me of a promise by then UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson three years ago to power every home in England with wind by 2030.
He promised power would be cheaper than that provided by coal-fired power stations and compared England’s offshore wind resources to the oil in Saudi Arabia.

Last week wind was producing around 5 per cent of the UK’s power. People would be burning their furniture if it were not for coal-fired power.

Australia voted at the weekend to admit a terrorist state into the United Nations.
Just eight months after Hamas invade Israel, raping and slaughtering more than 1000 innocents, the Australian Labor Government rewarded them by voting for Palestine to be recognised at the UN.
Penny Wong, of course, insisted that the vote was support for a two state solution rather than for Hamas.

Under the UN Charter, states admitted to the organisation must be “peace loving”.
Hamas, right now, holds civilians hostage. And if an election were held in Palestine today, Hamas would win in a landslide. How on earth is that a peace loving state deserving of rights and privileges at the UN?
We voted that a country which doesn’t actually exist - but has a leadership that’s holding hostages of a country that does exist - be made member of the UN.

The Federal Government is preparing to abolish Section 38 of the Sex Discrimination Act.
This is nothing less than an act of war against the Christian faith.
Section 38 is that part of the Act which currently allows religious schools to hire staff whose lives accord “with the doctrines, tenets, beliefs or teachings of a particular religion or creed”.
If abolished, it would make it impossible for Christian schools to retain their Christian character.
Meanwhile, the Labor Party demands that its members pledge not to be part of any other organisation inimical to its ideals.
Why shouldn’t religious schools enjoy the same rights?

The Chinese military has engaged our soldiers four times in the past 27 months. Those are the instances we know about.
In February 2022, a Chinese navy ship locked a laser on to an Australian maritime surveillance aircraft. This is often a precursor to firing on a plane and can blind a pilot.
In May 2022, a Chinese plane cut directly in front of an Australian aircraft as it undertook routine maritime surveillance in international air space. The Chinese fighter jet released “chaff” (small pieces of aluminium) that was ingested into the Australian plane’s engines, endangering the plane and the crew.
Last November, Australian divers from HMAS Toowoomba were injured when a Chinese navy vessel aimed its sonar at them as they cleared underwater lines off Japan.
And just last week, a Chinese fighter jet released flares in the path of an Australian Seahawk helicopter, forcing our pilot to take urgent evasive action.
Despite all of this, there has been no formal diplomatic protest from our government. Nor has the Chinese ambassador in Canberra been formally called in for a dressing down.
But if Israel builds a few houses on the West Bank, their ambassador in Canberra is summoned for a grilling.
China refer to our Prime Minister as “handsome boy”. They think he is a joke, and they are not wrong.

The Canadian Parliament is considering new hate speech laws that would give police the power to search the internet for violations and arrest offenders even if the offence occurred before the new laws existed.
Penalties for hate speech include up to life imprisonment.
Perhaps police might want to begin their retroactive investigations with this …

Proving that no idea is too stupid in a Democrat run state, San Francisco will use nurses to hand out free shots of vodka to homeless people.
The $5m taxpayer funding program is aimed at improving the health of alcoholics.
The idea is that instead of drinking to excess and becoming public nuisance, homeless alcoholics can get a free drink of beer, wine or vodka three or four times a day.
Nurses serve as roving street cocktail waitresses. That’s when you get when you vote woke!
Honestly, it’s hard to see who in San Fran needs more help - the drunks on the street, or the people in charge.
The progressive left love to bang on about "harm reduction", which is really about enabling addiction.
The government use of public money to provide addicts with drugs and alcohol only serves to keep them as perpetual victims.
The Christian recovery model is the opposite. It gets addicts clean and off the streets, independent and into a job.
You’re right James. We are most definitely ruled by morons who are also cowards. Nothing is going to change until the people refuse, en masse, to comply with so many nonsensical rules and regulations.
But the people are in urgent need of a true leader with the ability to convince us that the time for revolution is upon us.
Oh dear, 😞 I think Eurovision should be cancelled forevermore and Eden given a permanent singing contract.
