I’m a gender atheist.
That is, I don’t believe there are more than two genders.
But more than that, I don’t believe I should be forced to pretend faith in a gendered soul trapped in the wrong body.
The State has no more right to force its religion on me than Christians, Muslims or Jews have the right to force their religion on anyone else.
Gay conversion therapy has officially been banned in NSW.
In English, that means it is now illegal to attempt to change or suppress a person’s sexual identity.
Telling a dude he’s a dude because only dudes have a dude part between their legs now verges on a crime in NSW.
Counselling a homosexual to go straight, or to deny their sexual temptations is now legally risky.
The laws are similar to those already legislated in Victoria and in the ACT.
The Sydney Morning Herald Reports …
“The bill has some exceptions for religious groups, meaning, for example, it is still legal to give a religious sermon that preaches against homosexuality or pray with someone experiencing same-sex attraction.”
How benevolent of the NSW Parliament, providing Christians with a special “exemption” to practice their faith.
How dare they.
Free speech, whether to God or to others, is a right. It is not a special privilege graciously bestowed upon people by an all powerful State that has taken pity on them.
And as we all know, over time exemptions come to be seen as loop holes and loop holes are inevitably closed.
The Daniels in this country are on their way to - though not quite yet arriving - at the lion’s den.
Environment Minister and Legislative Council leader Penny Sharpe said the Bill made it clear that “harmful practices have no place” in NSW.
She said …
“What NSW has done today is to say to our LGBTQ community that you are fine just the way you are and that we will look after you and that we will protect you.”
Attorney-General Michael Daley applauded the passing of the Bill, saying …
“Conversion therapy proceeds on the basis that people in the LGBTQ+ community are broken, they need fixing. But we like them just the way they are.”
It is still legal to read 1 Corinthians 6. For now.
The legislation makes any attempt to provide or deliver conversion practices with the intention of changing or suppressing an individual’s sexual orientation or gender identity liable to a maximum penalty of five years’ imprisonment.
So if a person doesn’t want to be gay - or trans - and seeks help, their helpers will risk prison if they help.
It is still legal, however, to convert heterosexuals to LGBTQ. Which is lucky, since a signifiant number of public school staff would be teaching via zoom from a prison cell if it were not.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are the left’s attempt to create heaven on earth.
And who doesn’t want heaven on earth? It sounds amazing.
Yet even a brief survey of history will reveal that whenever men attempt to create heaven on earth they invariably produce hell.
The problem, of course, is that creating heaven on earth requires someone on earth to be god.
Mao? Gates? Schwab? Bandt? The list of gods is endless.
History is full of proud men with high sounding ideals who impose their ideology and dogma while ignoring experience, logic and safety.
In order to get more women into the police force they lower the recruiting standard.
In order to get more minorities into law they make the bar exam optional.
In order to get more diversity in the airline industry they hire people on the basis of race, gender, and sexual orientation.
The results are predictably scary, and dangerous.
The police force becomes inept. There are more lawyers from minority groups, but they deliver substandard representation. Doors start blowing out of Boeing aircraft mid-flight.
If our elites do not stop playing god and mandating their visions of heaven on earth, then they will only create a living hell for us all.
A study by Pew Research Centre has found that the almost half of US Muslims believe Hamas has valid reasons for attacking Israel, and that Israel has no right to self defense.
Multiculturalism sounds fine until one takes in lots of people from violent cultures with ancient hatreds.
Colonialism was bad.

The Heritage Council of NSW wants to protect the graves of Andrew Scott, better known as Captain Moonlite, and James Nesbitt, his presumed gay lover.
Heritage Council deputy chair Robyn Parker said the graves represented …
“A counter-narrative to the historical discourse of masculinity, relationships and crime.”
In our post truth world, everything normal is demonised, while the left’s “counter-narrative” must be held up as sacred.

So a couple of notorious bushrangers were part of what we now know as Alphabet stew. Comes from moonlighting out in the scrub away from normal life and eating worm infested kangaroo stew! Brain affected and broke, but not woke! As far as we know they didn't ravage the communities they robbed and certainly did not push their gender to other limits. Some of these bushrangers were known to be 'gentlemen' and had women swooning as they were robbed of nothing but their jewellery.
