Another day, another Australian monument defaced - this time a Captain Cook statue in Eastern Sydney.
The same Cook statue was defaced last year as well. And in 2020.
These days the destruction of a national monument barely raises an eyebrow. The trashing of our own country is just one of those things we now accept with a shrug.
Repeat after me ..
Diversity is our strength.
Australia Day means different things to different people.
Blah, blah, blah.
Politicians will condemn the attack.
Police will appear for anyone with red paint on their hands to hand themselves in.
And nothing will happen.
Or at least, nothing will happen until next year when it will all happen again.
Meanwhile, in Melbourne, a statue commemorating soldiers who fought in World War One was covered in red paint and defaced with the words “land back”.
And a statue of the man who founded Melbourne, John Batman, was sawn in half.
Is this more of Albanese’s fabled “foreign actors” at work? Or just more Greens and Labor supporters doing what they do?
Poor fellow, my country.
This quip from Ben Davis made me smile today. He wrote …
If the British “invaded” Australia and conquered an entire continent along with its 750,000 inhabitants, all with just 200 soldiers—well, credit where credit’s due! That’s impressive.
Fair call.
Trans women “sent packing!” You have to love the Daily Mail.
Anyway, I can well imagine these men, identifying as women, would be terrified at being sent to a male prison. Kind of like the women with whom they have been incarcerated have been terrified.
Thoughts and prayers.
The Queensland University of Technology’s anti-racism conference sure had quite a bit of racism this week.
Anti-racism is, of course, just racism rebranded. So it’s not really a surprise that the anti-racists spent a good deal of time practicing anti-Semitism.
Taxpayer funded bigotry at our universities.
What chance our Human Rights Commission will investigate?
What’s that expression? Buckley’s and …
It later emerged that another image had been displayed to conference delegates encouraging them to “throat punch a racist”.
QUT Vice Chancellor Margaret Sheil apologised for any hurt caused but nevertheless defended the conference because it was important to “engage in rigorous discussion and debate about the issues so important to our time”.
Rigorous discussion and debate my ass.
Delegates stood and shouted “shame” at the Associate Professor Yoni Nazarathy, who lectures in artificial intelligence at the University of Queensland, when it was revealed he had shown people outside the conference a photo of the “Dutton’s Jew” image.
I think we need to engage in rigorous discussion and debate about whether or not public money should be funding the morons at QUT.
One of Trump’s first acts as President was to issue pardons for nearly two dozen peaceful protestors who were convicted for blocking access to and temporarily shutting down abortion clinics.
Some of those convicted, including elderly people, are currently serving jail time.
Biden prosecuted pro-lifers—including an 89-year-old concentration camp survivor—for singing hymns in a clinic hallway
And then Biden turned around and handed out pardons for criminal murderers on his last day in office.
Joe Biden prosecuted Christians.
Donald Trump pardoned them.
Tell me again how tough it was for Christians to know who to vote for …
As a reader of The James Macpherson report I’m sure you won’t need to sign this apology form. But maybe you know someone who should.
Feel free to pass it on to those you know need to repent.
Anthony Albanese spoke at the National Press Club Friday, insisting that he has no regrets.
Well, the electorate sure has regrets!
Albo went on to explainin that Building Australia’s Future - his election slogan - “is about all of us”.
Right.
He went on to say …
“Building Australia’s Future is about your future”
Okay. But what does that actually mean?
“Building Australia’s Future means building better Medicare. Building Australia’s Future is about what we sell to our region and the world. Building Australia’s Future is about training Australians for that future.”
It’s a word salad.
“For Labor, nothing is more important to building Australia’s future than education. Building Australia’s future through every stage of education will be a defining priority of a re-elected Labor government.”
You don’t build a nation with word salads.
Build Australia’s Future? They’ve done nothing but destroy it.
They’ve destroyed the energy grid, created social division, fuelled inflation, undermined productivity, damaged alliances and locked in structural deficits. And all in just one term.
Albanese speaks in ‘feel good’ motherhood platitudes because the record of his government is disastrous.
The second hostage release is scheduled for next Saturday, with Hamas set to release four female Israeli soldiers (aged 19 and 20) in exchange for Israeli releasing 200 Palestinian terrorists, some of whom are serving life sentences.
Where are all those people who were insisting that “proportionately” was so important just a few months ago?
When Israel retaliate for the slaughter and kidnapping of their people, the world demands it must be proportionate.
When Hamas negotiate to set free people they have taken hostage, the world smiles as they set terms no sane person would ever accept.
Israeli mothers want their kids back. So they deal with the devil.
Speaking of Israel, why are we sending Penny Wong as our representative at the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz death camp?
When the foreign minister was in Israel last year she wasn’t bothered to visit the site of the Hamas terror attacks.
If she couldn’t be arsed visiting the site of an attack months after it happened, what relevance does she see in visiting the site of an 80-year-old horror?
I think we all know.
Appearances. Appearances. Appearances.
Albanese told The Press Club Friday that Penny Wong had “stood up against anti-Semitism at each and every opportunity and will always continue to do so”.
Really?
Name one time she has stood strong against antisemitism. I’ll wait …
Former Australian of the Year Grace Tame met with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese today.
What would you wear if you had a meeting with PM?
She wore a “Fuck Murdoch” t-shirt. Check out the picture above.
Now check out how the SAME picture was published on news sites …
So news sites understood the t-shirt was inappropriate for you and I to view over our cornflakes. But Grace Tame thought it perfectly appropriate for a morning tea at the Lodge with the PM.
It’s not just Grace Tame’s judgement that should be questioned here. The PM, or indeed his minders, would have done well to tell her that if she was to have morning tea at the Lodge, she should leave and return in appropriate attire.
They did not.
And she did not.
That tells you all you need to know.
Democrat Senator Elizabeth Warren has been scathing about Trump’s administration picks, particularly his choice for Defence Secretary.
She tweeted …
Pete Hegseth’s confirmation will make our nation less safe. It is a sad and dangerous day when Republican Senators put loyalty to President Trump ahead of our national security.
The pictures above are some of the upstanding types Warren confirmed to serve in the Biden administration. Oh, and she also spent years covering for a President whose mental acuity was clearly not good enough for the job.
Now she’s all concerned about national security?
Spare me.
Don’t forget to tune in to Danica and James on Sky News Sunday at 7pm (Sydney time). We’ve got some great guests not least of whom will be former AFL footballer Sam Newman! We’re going to chat with him about where Australia is at. I can’t wait for that. I’ve no idea what he will say, but it will no doubt be highly entertaining. Hope you can watch.
another crazy week with lots of lowlites. Grace Tames T shirt and even worse is our Prime Minister standing next to her, smiling approvingly not having sent her home to change. It just shows that he is still mentally in undergraduate mode. He has dragged the office of PM down to the level of the students rep councils of many of our universities.
The highlight is that four more hostages have been freed by Hamas
Thanks James for all the updates
Ugh Grace Tame. We’ve had some rubbish Australians of the year. The indigenous footballer that preached about how we’re racist as he accepted his honour, the climate expert who said we’ll never again fill a certain damn shortly before it flooded. Thankfully a worthy recipient this year.
Happy Australia Day to all and God bless Australia. 🇦🇺
