A CLIMATE protestor ran onto centre court at the French Open this week and chained herself to the net.
Security quickly removed her, but I think that was a mistake.
They should have left her there for the three hour match. She could have taken a few forehands down the line. It would have made the game far more watchable.
I joke, of course.
They were right to remove this modern day Joan of Arc from the court as quickly as possible. The clay was doing nothing for her jeans or white sneakers.
The big talking point, of course, was her t-shirt warning that we have just 1028 days left.
1028 days until what? She did not say.
Most people assumed it meant we had 1028 days to avert a climate crisis.
I take a different view.
I suspect it is 1028 days until the bald security man’s wife stops bringing up him staring at the girl’s uncovered chest as they carried her off.
WASHINGTON State politicians have instituted “police reform” laws that prevent police from pursuing drivers who fail to pull over when directed.
And you’ll never guess what has happened.
Yep. Drivers are no longer pulling over for police!
Local media said there had been 934 failure to stop incidents in the past five months.
This is called the Law of Totally Expected but Unintended Consequences.
Police protested the law when it was proposed, saying it would hinder them doing their jobs.
But Democrats cheered the ‘reform’, insisting it would bring more “equity” into the justice system.
Indeed.
Thanks to the Democrats ‘equity’, everyone - whether driving a Lamborghini or a Toyota Prius - is now able to outrun the cops.
A MAY 26 New York Times report on the Ulvade school shooter contained a former co-worker’s recollection that the shooter complained about his grandmother not letting him smoke weed.
The New York Times inexplicably deleted the quote in later editions.
Weird.
The Times didn’t say why the story had been changed, as you might expect them to do when fixing a factual inaccuracy.
Assuming the edited detail was accurate, it would fit a pattern.
Mass shooters at …
Rep. Gibby Giffords’s constituent meeting in Tucson, Arizona (2011)
A movie theater in Aurora, Colorado (2012)
The Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida (2016)
The First Baptist church in Sutherland Springs, Texas (2017)
And Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. (2018)
… were all reported to be marijuana users.
It could be a coincidence of course, but increasing evidence suggests a connection.
Nineteen states have legalized pot for recreational use, and politicians increasingly treat it as harmless.
Kamala Harris, when asked in 2020 about her pot use at college, giggled and replied that marijuana “gives a lot of people joy” and “we need more joy in the world.”
Here in Australia, Greens leader Adam Bandt tweeted that he would be proud of school leavers if they spent their gap year smoking pot.
Why would politicians want young people choofing weed? And why would the New York Times cover up a connection between marijuana use and the Ulvade shooting?
The public needs an honest discussion about marijuana’s social and public-health risks, which include violence and mental illness.
CHANNEL Nine is determined to keep the Covid panic going.
On June 4 they reported that studies had found you can successfully perform CPR while wearing a mask.
Well sure. But if I have a heart attack and require CPR, I don’t want your mouth anywhere near mine unless you are wearing medical goggles, a face shield, SPF 50+ sunscreen and rubber gloves.
And, and you must be double vaccinated and boosted.
And I want to see proof of that before you start reviving me.
But seriously, tell me how masks help prevent transmission of Covid, and yet allow CPR to be performed.
US PRESIDENT Joe Biden, outraged by the school shooting in Ulvade, tweeted on June 4 that …
“We should repeal the liability shield that often protects gun manufacturers from being sued for the death and destruction caused by their weapons.
“They’re the only industry in the country that has this kind of immunity. It’s outrageous. It must end.”
Will you tell him? Or will I?
C’mon man.
THE QUEENSLAND Government is proposing laws to ban hate symbols such as the Nazi Swastika.
Premier Anastacia Palaszczuk announced on May 26 …
“Our community is diverse and should not have to withstand the public display of hate symbols. We intend to make it a criminal offence to display symbols promoting hatred and causing fear.”
She’s right, of course. No-one should be allowed to use symbols to promote division and hate, like this for example …
If only the Queensland Premier’s new laws criminalising divisive people using symbols to demonise others had existed when the divisive Queensland Premier tweeted symbols to demonise others.
Still, I get why Ms Palaszczuk would want to get rid of the Nazi swastika. Germany in the 1930s was evil.
Imagine a government singling out a minority group based on what they believed, banning them from travel and from entering certain places, forcing them out of their jobs, denying them services …
Hang on, that was Queensland under Ms Palaszczuk’s leadership between 2020 and 2022.
IMAGINE turning on the sports channel, only to suffer through a sermon in which you berated for being a bigot.
ESPN commentator Sarah Spain declared five Tampa Bay Rays players “bigots” for not wearing the gay pride logo on their uniforms. She described their religious objection to supporting the LGBTQ Pride game as “BS”.
Watch her rant in the clip below …
Just what every guy wants while watching a sports network … to be lectured by a woke liberal woman on political and moral issues.
Imagine the Left’s reaction if a team planned a Christian night and wanted their players to wear a cross!
And I’m willing to bet she never would have said a thing if the dissenting players were Muslims.
Seinfeld was way ahead of the curve on this issue …
I'll bet her name's Annette. 😃👍🇦🇺
This is brilliant! But evokes frustration that others can’t see it. What a fantastic clip! Right on the button! Ha ha- Seinfeld. Clever you James.
