The Peruvian government has officially classified transgender and non-binary people as “mentally ill.”
In other words, Peru is now a place where it appears they are able to sort truth from fiction. They cracked the code.
Perhaps they dug up enough mummies to confirm there really were only ever two genders.
Either way, they just what 99.999999999999 per cent of the people in the world think.
Government officials explained that the decision had not been made to demonise or to hurt people with gender dysphoria, but to help them.
The new classification would ensure mental health services for the trans community were fully covered by insurance.
Of course, trans activists slammed the move, insisting it was a step “backwards”.
They continue to insist that believing yourself to be in the wrong body is not a mental health issue.
Perhaps it’s spiritual?
It’s certainly not biological.
Despite claims from activists that the new classification would “open the door to conversion therapy” the Peruvian government denied that trans people would be forced to de-transition.
Activists will probably head north claiming persecution. And why not? They’ll find plenty of Democrats desperate to indulge their delusions.
As for Peru, it’s a county with good ceviche and good common sense.
Here’s a sentence I never thought I’d write, it’s about time America followed Peru’s lead.
What a topsy turvy world in which we live!
Good on Peru! They know the truth, it will soon be time to send gender evangelists to other countries to teach people what they should already know
Finally - a country whose leaders exhibit common sense.
