Could the Labor Party be any more contemptuous of the Australian public?
Senator Penny Wong has told the Betoota Talks podcast that an Indigenous Voice to Parliament was inevitable.
Oh sure, 60 percent of Australians voted no to the idea back in October 2023.
But that was only the first referendum.
There would ultimately be another vote, and I suppose a third and a fourth if necessary, until eventually Australians would come up with the right answer.
She said …
“It’ll become something, it’ll be like, people go ‘did we even have an argument about that?’”
Personally, I believe that Penny Wong’s disappearance from our national consciousness is inevitable, and one day we’ll all be incredulous that she was ever part of it. But that’s just me.
When we voted ‘no’ to dividing Australians by race we meant ‘no’.
What part of ‘no’ does Senator Wong not understand?
But it gets worse.
