Our Easy-Going 'You Do You' Approach Is Only Producing More Bearded Ladies

Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. Do I really need to explain further?

I know you want me to. So here goes …

Dylan Mulvaney’s hairdresser (that’s quite the introduction in itself) Jonathan Van Ness, has “divided the internet” over the dress he wore to last night’s Golden Globes.

Why the internet would be divided on Van Ness is beyond me. Wouldn’t every man and his non-binary dog agree that the dress is just plain weird.

Van Ness is a man.

With a beard.

If he was attending a circus, it would make sense.

But he was not at a circus, he was at a Hollywood event which, come to think of it, is much like a circus except that, at a circus, the bearded ladies know they’re not ladies.

The Golden Globes controversy was not about whether Van Ness should have worn a gown but, rather, it was about whether Van Ness should have worn THAT gown.
