Australia cannot afford a planned $7b military grade satellite system to ensure we have state of the art defence.
The Government is set to ditch the idea just 18 months after announcing it because there is no money in the defence budget to pay for it.
We can, however, afford to forgive $16b of student debt in order to bolster Anthony Albanese’s chances at the ballot box next year.
Make it make sense!
Kamala Harris ran an ad in Michigan - which has the largest Arab population in America - saying …
“What has happened in Gaza over the past nine months is devastating. We cannot allow ourselves to become numb to the suffering. And I will not be silenced.”
But it’s a very different story in Pennsylvania where Harris targeted Jewish voters with this advertisement …
Let me be clear I will always stand up for Israel’s right to defend itself. And I will always ensure Israel has the ability to defend itself. Because the people of Israel must never again face that horror that a terrorist organisation called Hamas caused on October 7.
Make it make sense!
New polling shows reported in the Daily Telegraph shows 18 percent of women will vote for the Greens at the next federal election. That’s down from 22 percent, but still.
1 in 5 females will vote for Adam Bandt and Mehreen Faruqi?
Make it make sense ladies!
The centrepiece of Queensland Labor’s renewables scheme was their much hyped Pioneer-Burdekin Pumped Hydro project.
Just two years ago then Labor premier Annastacia Palaszczuk told Queenslanders the project would cost $12b.
But don’t worry, because renewable energy is the cheapest form of energy in human history.
Just 24 months later, it has been revealed the cost is $36b. Little wonder the new LNP government has scrapped it. But seriously …
Make it make sense!
Australian mining magnate Andrew ‘Twiggy’ Forrest has slammed “dictators, fascists and oligarchs” controlling the world’s fossil fuel industry, who he claims use AI-driven bots to stoke fear about the transition to green energy.
Wait. What?
You read that right. Twiggy reckons AI bots are being used to turn people against green energy.
“They’re called dictators, fascists, oligarchs who send out bots all over the world, AI-driven bots, to lace up messages saying ‘you’ve got to stay with the oil and gas because, you know, your energy costs are going to go up and you standard living is going to go down’.
That’s not a fascist-sent AI bot. That’s my quarterly electricity bill!
Make Twiggy make sense. Actually, scrap that. No-one can.
Peanut is a squirrel.
Peanut was rescued by a guy who posts porn to an Only Fans account, or something.
Peanut’s rescuer gave the squirrel its own social media account and the squirrel became famous. Nothing to do with Only Fans, obviously. That would just be nuts.
People made complaints, alleging that Peanut had rabies or something.
US authorities broke into house where Peanut was being sheltered, took the animal and euthanised it.
Now America is more upset that Peanut is dead than that Tim Walz could become the second most powerful person in the world.
The story has actually become a metaphor for what so many people worry about - government over-reach.
Government used to be concerned only with guarding the liberty of citizens. These days Government is concerned about regulating every aspect of citizens’ lives - what they can drive, how they can cook and the pets they can keep.
What sort of a nation has America become when the government can turn up at your home and kill your pets because they were unauthorised pets?!
Make it make sense!
A couple of weeks ago the Victorian court put on a training session to teach the State’s magistrates how to sentence violent non-citizens in such a way as to protect them from being deported.
Because, God knows, there are not enough sex offenders or violent thugs already in Victoria.
Well chief magistrate Lisa Hannan is furious. But not about what you might think.
Hannan isn’t upset that magistrates are being taught how to keep convicted pedophiles in the country. No, no. That’s not what's got her in a tiz.
Hannan is furious that someone leaked news of the training session to the media.
According to the Herald-Sun, there is an investigation underway, with Hannan personally phoning magistrates to grill them about what they know of the leak.
There’s even talk of the culprit being booted from the court.
So won’t throw convicted sex offenders out of the country. But will throw court officials who leak it out of the court.
Please, for the love of God, make it make sense!
It has been revealed the minister responsible for forcing high rise developments into Melbourne’s suburbs previously OPPOSED a series of housing projects in her own electorate because they were inconsistent with “neighbourhood character”.
Victoria Planning Minister Sonya Kilkenny is pushing for residents to accept 20 storey towers in suburbs such as Brighton, Malvern and Ringwood. Locals are understandably outraged.
But back in 2021, Kilkenny opposed a 3-storey development in her own neighbourhood!
She argued at the time …
“It is entirely inconsistent with neighbourhood character, the local ecology and landscape, and Indigenous heritage. It will set a really bad precedent.”
I have to admit, the bit about a 3-storey block of flats being inconsistent with “Indigenous heritage” made me laugh. Tell me something that is not inconsistent with Indigenous heritage. But I digress.
It’s a typical play from socialists, isn’t it? And it’s entirely in keeping with their attitude toward renewable energy. We just have wind and solar farms - but in other people’s backyards!
Make it make sense!
And to finish …
84-year-old Nancy Pelosi was asked about Donald Trump overnight.
Her response to the MSNBC interviewer went …
"Good morning... I think that what, um... uh, uh, mmm, mm, the ex-president just said is, uh, further indication of his cognitive degeneration."
Pot. Kettle. Black.
After four years of Sleepy Joe, Democrats have lost all creditability to talk about someone's cognitive decline. Not least of all Nancy what, um... uh, uh, mmm, mm Pelosi.
Make it make sense!
So on the ball James. Do any of the "woke folk" read your blog ? I expect not, as there is no space left in their minds after they wade through their volumes of dis/mis information.
I just have to mention the memes of Donald Trump saving the squirrels (RIP Peanut), racoons (RIP Fred), dogs, cats & ducks (RIP pets of Springfield), and Peanut wearing a MAGA hat in heaven.
And the prediction that “justice for Peanut & Fred” will turn NY red.
It’s like a whirlpool of craziness with the current getting faster and faster.
Thanks, James, for stilling the water.
