Magazine censured for misgendering a 'trans woman'
The Spectator Magazine has been censured for referring to a man who claims to be a woman as a man “who claims to be a woman”.
Make it make sense!
The offending phrase was used in an article entitled “The sad truth about ‘saint’ Nicola Sturgeon”, published in The Spectator on 21 May.
Nicola Sturgeon is the former First Minister of Scotland who was booted from office, in not small part, due to her promotion of trans ideology.
The Spectator article reported how Sturgeon was once ….
“ … interviewed by writer Juno Dawson, a man who claims to be a woman, and so the conversation naturally turned to gender”.
Dawson who is a man who claims to be a woman complained to the Independent Press Standards Organisation that it was discriminatory to say so.
