Lefty Politicians Still Pushing Their Love of Wacky Tobacky

What is it with progressive politicians and their obsession with marijuana? 

Greens leader Adam Bandt tweeted in 2021 that he would be proud of school leavers if they “just smoke weed for a year or two”.

NSW Greens senator David Shoebridge warned in 2022 that Australia was falling behind the rest of the world by failing to legalise the devil’s lettuce.

At that time, just seven countries had legalised cannabis. And that’s being generous. One of those was the US, where it was legal in only 19 states.

So really, it was six countries and a bunch of Democrat states that had said yes to weed when Shoebridge cried that we were being left behind.

Now it’s the turn of the Legalise Cannabis Party to push the old mary jane.
