King Charles has managed to make the Easter message about Islam.
In his official letter marking the holiest week in the Christian calendar, the Head of the Church of England started well enough …
“On Maundy Thursday, Jesus knelt and washed the feet of many of those who would abandon Him. His humble action was a token of His love that knew no bounds or boundaries and is central to Christian belief.”
So far so good.
Nek minnit …
“The love He showed when he walked the Earth reflected the Jewish ethic of caring for the stranger and those in need, a deep human instinct echoed in Islam and other religious traditions, and in the hearts of all who seek the good of others.”
What in the name of God?!
Did King Charles extol the virtues of Christianity when he wished Muslims a blessed Ramadan?
Did he proclaim the Risen Christ when he sent well wishes to Jews observing the Passover?
Did he recommend Jesus, the God man, to Sikhs when noting their festival of Vaisakhi?
No, no, and no.
It is only the Christian holy days, evidently, that King Charles seeks to transform into interfaith stunts.
You might imagine the Head of the Church would understand that the Easter message is about the the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, proving His claims of divinity and therefore qualifying Him alone to save men from sin.
If the Christian message is “echoed” in Islam then it is only echoed.
As Jesus Himself said …
“Before Abraham was, I Am”
In other words, Jesus is the OG. Everything else is but an echo of Him. He not referred to eternally as “the Word” for nothing.
But to call Islam an echo of Christianity is to be generous to the point of insanity.
You’d think the Defender of the Faith would know that Islam denies the divinity of Jesus.
Islam also denies that Jesus died on the cross.
And Islam denies that Jesus rose from the dead.
In other words, Islam, which was established 600 years AFTER the death and resurrection of Jesus, is quite literally an anti-Christ religion.
Islam explicitly states that God is not a father and that He has no son. So there you go … Islam denies the miracle of Christmas and the saving power of Easter.
To somehow equate it as equally valid as Christianity, on of all days Easter Friday, is quite startling.
To do so as the Head of the Church of England is simply unfathomable.
I am not Christian but Easter is all about Jesus. To bring any other religion into it is just woke stupid insanity. Hope you had a wonderful Easter with your family
He has just signed the death knell of the British Monarchy. Muslims don't love him as much as he loves them
