Donald Trump was on track to win a Nobel Peace Prize … right up until he was nominated by Benjamin Netanyahu.

Thanks to the well meaning kiss of death from the Israeli PM, Trump’s chances of winning the award are now nil and none.

I can hear the Nobel Prize committee discussing right now whether or not they can disqualify someone for being nominated by the wrong people.

This is, after all, the same Nobel Committee that gave the Peace Prize to Barack Obama for his “extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy,” which was a highbrow way of saying …

“He seemed nice.”

Obama hadn’t even unpacked his socks in the White House before Oslo declared him a global saviour.

Trump however, unlike many Nobel winners, has done some peacemaking.

The Abraham Accords saw the UAE, Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan normalise relations with the Jewish state. It was a diplomatic miracle so unexpected it probably had UN bureaucrats clutching their “Free Palestine” tote bags in horror.

If Trump were literally anyone else, the Nobel might’ve been in the mail by now.

But he’s Trump. And now, worse still, he’s been nominated by Bibi …
