Tasmania’s basketball team was unable to wear their Indigenous singlet for the NBL’s Indigenous round at the weekend after local Aboriginals complained the design was offensive.
The Jackjumpers singlet was designed by an Aboriginal and, as you might expect, featured dot art.
But Tasmanian Aboriginals described the singlet as an “affront” and “highly offensive”, claiming the dots did not represent them.
I guess you could say the Jackjumpers were in a spot of bother.
