IF / THEN
Musings as I trawl through my news feed
IF
Elon Musk is to become the world’s first trillionaire when Space X is listed on the stock exchange later this month …
THEN
… it may be the first time in a long time that the world’s richest person is also the world’s most productive person.
Usually the title goes to someone who invented a way to move numbers around a spreadsheet while charging management consulting fees.
Musk, meanwhile, builds electric cars, rockets, satellites and occasionally entire industries before breakfast.
Love him or hate him, at least we know where the money came from.
IF
a scheme aimed at helping Australians buy homes is being used by non-citizens to buy homes …
THEN
… isn’t the First Home Buyers Scheme, where taxpayers go guarantor for people who can only afford a five percent deposit on a property, working AGAINST the very people it’s supposed to be helping?
It was revealed in Senate Estimates last night that 51,000 non Australians had accessed the scheme.
Nothing says "putting Australians first" quite like asking Australians to guarantee mortgages for people who aren't Australians.
Just on that …
IF
the Albanese Government can’t differentiate between a man and a woman …
THEN
… are we really surprised they can’t differentiate between a permanent resident and an Australian citizen when it comes to helping people own property?
Why should the Australian taxpayer help people who, while permanent residents in this country, either have not been bothered or who have been ruled ineligible to become Australian citizens?
I suppose if a penis means nothing, why should Australian citizenship mean anything?
IF
eight percent of fatal car accidents in the four years between 2019 and 2023 involved a driver or rider with cannabis, but no other drugs in their system …
And if scientists agree there is no agreement on what level of THC causes impairment on the road …
THEN
… why would the NSW Government now announce laws permitting those with a medical prescription to take cannabis to drive with small amounts of THC in their system?
The NRMA has slammed the move.
IF
the Left insist Nigel Farage is weaponising the death of Henry Nowak for political gain …
THEN
… I’d sure love to get their take on Sir Keir Starmer taking a knee for George Floyd.
The Left in the UK are outraged that Farage has called for “pure cold rage” over the two-tired policing system that saw officers handcuff and refuse treatment to a white teenager as he died from stab wounds.
They claim his ‘rhetoric’ is completely irresponsible.
Of course, the Left has always been very careful about inflammatory rhetoric. Provided they’re the ones doing the inflaming.
Just on that …
IF
Sir Keir Starmer said of the death of George Floyd …
“The death of George Floyd has justifiably prompted anger and a burning desire for fundamental change."
THEN
… what do you think he has said regarding Henry Nowak?
"This is a time for serious work, not rage..."
IF
ABC personality Jane Caro insists that
“Women will never stop fighting for their right to make decisions about their own bodies. Never.”
THEN
… it’s a stunning and brave call. This is a woman who believes a woman’s body can be genetically male!
Internal contradictions are not a bug in progressive ideology. They are a feature.
Incidentally, I wonder if Jane Caro supports a man’s right to an abortion?
IF
ABC personality Charlie Pickering used the word “problematic” to describe the network’s decision to hire Grace Tame …
THEN
… conservatives would consider that a very, very moderate response. But not on the Left.
Describing the national broadcaster’s decision to hire a woman who claimed the rape of Jewish women on October 7 was “propaganda” and to call for violence against Jews “from Gadigal to Gaza” as merely “problematic” is enough to have him completely cancelled, as many on the Left are now calling for.
To even question the Left’s ideology is tantamount to treason. Tells you everything.
Just on that …
IF
you publicly call for violence against Jews by screaming “from Gadigal to Gaza, globalise the intifada” - as Grace Tame did …
THEN
… you end up on the ABC hosting a podcast. But if you boo during Welcome to Country on ANZAC Day, you end up in court.
IF
Clint Eastwood has just officially retired from acting …
THEN
… that’s fair enough. The guy has just turned 96, after all!
He’s spent seven decades playing the toughest man in Hollywood.
At this point he’s earned the right to sit on the porch, glare silently into the distance and let the rest of us wonder what on earth happened to the civilisation he spent his career trying to save.

Thank you James. The hypocrisy and two-faced evil being spouted by Keir Starmer and his lefty mates is sickening in its bastardtry!
I sigh alot when I hear some news items, but I felt like crying alot after hearing the news of Henry Nowak. What has happened to the once respected British bobby? What has happened to the UK? Racism' has become a war cry there and in the west. As usual it takes one rotten apple to smear a group. The Seiks are generally good and contributing citizens to their country..There are no winners here.
