Queenslanders will gladly accept Premier Steven Miles $1000 electricity rebate, and then vote for the other guy. They’ll take the money and run!
Why?
Well, for starters, most Queenslanders will calculate that the safety of their family is worth more than a thousand bucks.
Shame on Giggles Miles for thinking he can pay citizens to ignore the crime crisis.

A massive $1,000 lump sum credit will be applied automatically to your power bill. Every household, everywhere in Queensland.
Only a gold fish would fall for this.
Miles’ election bribe is one of the greatest acts of hypocrisy imaginable.
Labor promised that transitioning from coal to renewables would reduce our power bills.
Power bills went up. And up. And up.
Now Giggles wants to buy votes by handing out money he has taken from the one industry that has kept the lights on; the coal industry his mob continually demonise.
How he keeps a straight face is beyond me.
This is how Marxism works. They raise prices a lot and then reduce them a bit, as a show of good faith.
Rinse and repeat over and over until everyone is broke …
