The BBC is determined to make as much mileage as possible from publicity surrounding the death of a supposedly gay penguin in Sydney.
Their headline today read …
“Gay animals are more common than you would think.”
Well, I’m not sure about you, but I wasn’t thinking about it at all. BBC reporters on the other hand …
But surely I’ll bite.
How common is common? I want numbers. And where are the penguins in drag?
It seems to me like the BBC is suggesting that homosexuality is perfectly normal since even the animals are prone to being fabulous.
Then again, animals eating their own excrement are also more common than you would think. One can only imagine the smell emanating from the BBC lunchroom. But I digress.
The BBC’s claim raises two questions …
