The Australian Government collected more than a billon dollars in speeding fines last year, but can’t do anything to support the Jewish community from hate speech.

Dare to drive your car a few kilometres over the speed limit, and you can be sure a government camera will catch, track and summons you.

What? You drove at 64km/h in a 60 zone? Well we can’t have that! Fine issued!

But yell “Gas the Jews” or preach that Jews are “descendants of pigs and monkeys”, and the all-pervasive government is suddenly utterly powerless to act.

A Western Sydney imam calling for the death of Jews is more likely to get a traffic ticket on his way to the the hate speech rally than a ticket for anything he actually says.

The Jewish community know only too well what happens next when hateful, racially based lies and rhetoric are spread without opposition. So they announced today that they would take civil action against Islamic hate preachers.
