AOC's Wholly Unholy Pride Month Sermon
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says it's "unholy" to deny children the ability to change genders
Providing children with puberty blockers and removing their genitals is central to the Christian message, according to US Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
The New York politician said she was sick of the Christian message being mischaracterised in the name of bigotry as she gave an impassioned speech mischaracterising the Christian message in support of disfiguring gender confused children.
The speech was originally given in 2020 but AOC retweeted it this week to celebrate Pride Month.
“There is nothing holy about rejecting medical care of people,” she tweeted.
We’ll get that in a moment.
But first, Reverend AOC began her sermonette – posted to Twitter on Tuesday - by insisting that all people are holy.
“It is part of my faith that all people are holy. And all people are sacred, unconditionally. And that is what prompts us to transform, because it is unconditional. It is not up to us to love parts of people, we love all people.”
Now, all people are NOT holy.
Well I mean, I’m holy, but most people - by which I mean Democrat voters and Essendon supporters - are not holy at all.
Unless you mean wholly stupid.
I’m joking.
The Bible teaches that only God is holy. All people are fallen and you can tell people are fallen because they talk about “my faith” as if religion is something they invent and invite God to be part of, rather than the other way around.
I agree with AOC that all people are sacred, though of course AOC doesn’t believe humans in the womb are sacred. Her faith insists that magical sacred dust is sprinkled on a human being as it passes through the vaginal canal and not a moment before.
AOC’s assertion that we must love all people is true enough, though not all people are loveable. Trump, for instance, once described thus …
“She’s vicious, she’s like a crazed lunatic, like a total lunatic.”
But as AOC preached, people are sacred so Orange Man Bad must also be sacred, unconditionally, and it’s not up to us to love parts of Trump, so we love all of Trump.’
As Trump, himself, once told CNN’s Anderson Cooper …
“People love me. And you know what, I’ve been very successful. Everyone loves me”
I digress.
AOC’s sermon, delievered to religious leaders at an LGBTQ rights hearing, quickly went where even angels fear to tread …
“There is nothing holy about rejecting medical care of people. No matter who they are on the grounds of what their identity is. There is nothing holy about turning someone away from a hospital.”
It’s unholy to deny gender confused kids their operations, and it’s a sin to stop women from ending the life of their unborn babies.
God must really love abortion and sex change surgery.
I’m not sure we should take definitions of what it means to be “holy” from a woman who defines “medical care” as removing perfectly healthy organs such as breasts from young women.
But that’s just me. I’m funny like that.
And just on that, I’m old enough to remember five minutes ago when politicians were talking about the evils of female genital mutilation and using the practice as a pretext for wars in the Middle East and Africa.
But back to Archbishop AOC …
“There is nothing holy about writing discrimination into the law.”
Says the woman who wants to allow any man who feels like a woman to compete in women’s sport.
And who wants to ban women from complaining about penises hanging out in female bathrooms.
And who wants to force female prisons to accept male sex offenders who identify as women-in-name.
But Pope AOC was only warming up.
“And I am tired of communities of faith being weaponised and being mischaracterised because the only time religions freedom is invoked is in the name of bigotry and discrimination. I’m tired of it.”
Yeah.
Nah.
When you say that it’s holy to facilitate gender transitions for children, it kinda feels like you might be the one mischaracterising religion.
Genesis 5:2 says: “God made them male and female. God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth”.
Moses never went on to say, “ … unless God put you in the wrong body in which case heaven recommends puberty blockers followed by radical surgery and a lifetime of hormone treatment.”
AOC’s just kinda making that part up.
And when she describes Christian people’s sincerely held beliefs as “bigotry”, it sort of comes across like she’s the one weaponizing things.
“It is not up to us to deny medical care. It is up to us to feed the hungry, to clothe the poor”
See what she did there? Having casually redefined gender transition as “medical care” she then slips it in alongside feeding the hungry and clothing the poor as if, you know, Jesus came to do all three.
And then she finishes with this …
“ … to protect children, and to love all people as ourselves.”
Well she’s right that Jesus did say to protect children and to love others as ourselves.
Protecting children from being sexualised is loving.
Protecting children from gender confusion is loving.
Protecting children from disfiguring their bodies in pursuit of happiness is loving.
If AOC knew anything about the faith she tries to wield against members of the faith by misquoting the faith in the hope that the faithful don’t notice, she would know Saint Paul wrote that “love does not delight in evil but rejoices in truth”.
By all means, AOC should argue for abortion and for the free availability of gender reassignment surgery for children if that’s what she really believes to be a public good.
But she shouldn’t use the Bible to do it.
“I have nothing but contempt for Christians, and I don’t understand The Bible but I’m going to speak as a Biblical scholar in a bid to guilt you into doing what I want” is not the way to do politics.
There is nothing holy about turning people away from a hospital..... unless they’re unvaxxed! Oh how convenient it is to have a short memory and an empty brain!
What an empty headed vacuous woman! If she doesn’t know the Bible she should not commit a travesty and blasphemously quote it.
Yes we Christians are terribly inconveniencing. We want to stand in the way of mutilation and poisoning children in the name of a satanic cult. We know life is sacred from conception and that there is always a baby human in the womb from birth. What a nuisance Christians are.
But then again AOC is probably only looking for publicity and was deliberately wicked. She is wading into dangerous waters.
