Olympic Games opening ceremony organisers were charged with showcasing the best of humanity - and came up with this.

A pornographic Papa Smurf partnered by an obese lesbian wearing a halo, a gaggle of bearded women, and a drag queen with his testicle hanging out.

But seriously, it was a freak show. And by that I mean no disrespect to freaks.

Then again, most of the Western world is pretty freaky right now. So maybe the director Thomas Jolly got Halloween the opening ceremony right.

Jolly, himself a queer, later said it wasn’t his intention to mock or to ridicule Christianity.

Wait. What? He turned the opening ceremony into a satanic drag show entirely by accident? It was just one of those things that happen from time to time?
