A Liability at Home, and a Liability Abroad
As Kevin Rudd deletes anti Trump tweets, damning video footage emerges
He was a terrible PM. He’s an even worse diplomat.
Removed from the Lodge by his own party in 2010, and then by the Australian voters in 2013, Kevin Rudd must now be removed from our ambassador’s residence in Washington.
His position as our representative in the United States is completely untenable.
Rudd himself knows it.
That’s why, as final US election votes were being tallied last Wednesday, Kevin Rudd was busily deleting tweets.
Labelling Donald Trump “the most destructive President in history” who “drags America and democracy through the mud” wasn’t going to endear him to the President elect.
If only Trump wasn’t already aware of the tweets. Oh well.
Delete.
Delete.
Delete.
A spokesperson for Kevin 07 said …
“This has been done to eliminate the possibility of such comments being misconstrued as reflecting his positions as ambassador and, by extension, the views of the Australian government.”
Comedy gold!
I’m not sure how labelling Trump “the most destructive President in history” can be, er, misconstrued.
