I had the pleasure of meeting Katherine Deves last night when she was a co-panelist on The World According to Rowan Dean.
Katherine Deves famously stood for election in Tony Abbott’s old seat of Warringah on the northern beaches of Sydney.
She received a torrent of abuse for daring to speak up for women’s sport and women’s bathrooms.
It’s nice to meet someone who has had everything thrown at them, and yet who still retains a sense of humour, and who is unfailingly gracious.
One of the things I’m enjoying most about being a regular on the show is meeting fascinating people off set.
It’s also interesting how many of them already know who I am because of my articles in the Spectator. I don’t mention that to make myself sound special but simply to point out that while the Spectator might not have massive circulation, conservative movers and shakers certainly read it.
Anyway, if you missed last night’s show, here’s a clip of our discussion about former PM Malcolm Turnbull being hounded off a Sydney university campus.
By the way, thanks to all those who have contacted Sky to say how much they are enjoying the program and to thank them for having me as a regular guest. If you haven’t yet dropped them a line, it would still really help if you did.
It only takes a second. The feedback form is here.
Much appreciated. Enjoy the clip.
Absolutely. The Former PM deserve the respect the office gives him. What a broken system.
Oh the shame, the shame! And applying consequences would probably be called repression.
